"First look at Movie Iron Man"
|
Last bastion of Marvel stuff I can say I enjoy without any qualifications, Marvel's movie division put out this image today: I approve of the very "cobbled together from whatever's handy" look. |

Great! First-inception Iron Man armour. :)...dare I ask who's playing Tony in this? ____________________ "It's difficult keeping up with the cross-continuity, but I think Cosmouse just gave The Saturnian Scraphunter his Ultimate Pacifier to use against Galactapuss..." |

Here's the link to the imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/ Its Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper! I guess thats better than Ben Affleck :) But not the first person I would think of as Tony. ****************************** Remember, two wrongs do not make a right, but three lefts do.

>You might be impressed with this particular image then. It seems they >actually BUILT the armor rather than just CGIing it, and he has >bulkier arms. According to the Wiki article (which, of course, must always been taken with an SDF-sized grain of salt), Tony builds three different versions of the suit. This might be the second stage, between the "do-it-yourself-powered-armor" suit and the "bleeding-edge, ultra-sleek" suit.

>Cue the Black Sabbath! That's a little dumb, given that that song isn't about the Marvel Comics character, but I suppose I can see why they'd have seen it as pretty much inevitable. Nice-looking trailer. Mind you, it's going to have to be a damn good movie (in very specific ways) to get me to take Marvel off the Dead To Me list and actually go see it... --G. -><- Benjamin D. LAST EDITED ON Dec-21-11 AT 03:24 PM (EST) >Nice-looking trailer. Mind you, it's going to have to be a >damn good movie (in very specific ways) to get me to take >Marvel off the Dead To Me list and actually go see it... To each their own, but...I don't see what Marvel being on your Dead To Me list has to do with seeing the movie. Marvel's pretty much on my Dead To Me list after their recent crap, and I intend to see the movie. It's been my experience that movies tend to be better than their comic book analogues. Of course, now...I did like Ben Afleck as Daredevil, so even I question my sanity. This one looks pretty good, though. |

>Didn't you buy that Iron Man DVD movie after Marvel >went off the deep end? No, I'm pretty sure that was before the final straw fell. Kind of bummed about missing Doctor Strange, though. The preview on the Iron Man disc looked pretty cool. --G. -><- Benjamin D. Hutchins, Co-Founder, Editor-in-Chief, & Forum Admin Eyrie Productions, Unlimited http://www.eyrie-productions.com/
