"VF Stats"

Hey Gryph, I found a copy of the WDF Technical Readout somewhere, and I noticed something a liitle odd. What happened to the VF-1 Hyper Valkyrie, and the warp pods that both it and the VF-2 could carry? The Victory carries a hyperspace drive, but I couldn't help but wonder.

Well, with the caveat that that whole file is deprecated and of no particular use anymore, the VF-1FS was never in actual production. Only a very few were ever made, for special assignments. The only rarer VF-1 variant was the VT-1FD, of which only one was ever made.

...which begs the question-- which I hope isn't taken as "when is it coming out, huh, huh, izzit, izzit?"-- of whether or not we'll ever see a new WDF Technical Readout. I figure there's got to be one kept around the House as a reference guide, and it is apparently of interest (at least to the folks who read for the nifty tech and ships. I read for the Detians, Edison, and Washuu, m'self.) ;)

Actually, not that I know of... A lot of this stuff is just in our heads, or gets fleshed out as a story is being written. The Tech Readout was a codification of a lot of things when it was written, but a lot change since then too.

We've talked about doing things like creating a timeline, a writers' bible, etc... but never done it. It isn't any fun. :-)

I don't know... probably not in that exact form. I like making tech-ref docs, but they don't stay current long enough to bother with a lot of the time...
