"Invasion Of The Fanfic Snatcher"
 
   Good morning all. I do hope you're having fun.

Chris Nasipak here, occasionally known as "Croaker" after my extragoofinarily awful MUDding skills and fandom of The Black Company.

Me, I'm currently goofing off while on a slow workday. It's fun. I'm a techie at a local not-for-profit called "The Health Associtation" - http://www.thehealthassociation.org if you're curious - and Chief Exploder of Little Cardboard Squares for the local uni gaming club (http://www.ursga.org).

Things I do for fun: Read fanfic, write fanfic, very very occasionally post fanfic, play guitar, sing, read sci-fi and fantasy, listen to way-too-loud celtic rock (latest new band: The Glengarry Bhoys, http://www.grahamwright.com), play Babylon 5 Wars (http://www.agentsofgaming),
write the occasional snippet for White Wolf (my name is on Sorceror Revised among others), editing RPGs (Green Knight's _Tales of the Spectre King_ for the latest), collect B5Wars minis, watch Babylon 5 and other cool SF stuff, watch anime, read manga, post to strange forums like this one, moderate the Battle Force competition for BabCom... hmmm, do you think I keep busy enough? As I've mentioned in another thread, mainly it's the fact that all the games are set up so that your character cannot win - cannot, in fact, survive - and in some cases has already lost before play begins. "Your Character Is Inevitably Doomed" is not a good way to start a gaming experience.

Enough of that.

Where I heard of EPU:

Browsing UseNet, my first few months on the internet, I come across a newsgup called "rec.arts.anime". Now, I've heard about this 'anime' stuff, and it sounds fun, so I check it out.

And I find fanfic posted. Specifically, a couple of Ryan Matthews' Dirty Pair fics. The Ballad of Lord Robin - classic stuff. And then there's this flood of postings labelled "dp.1, dp.2, dp.e, dp.3, dp.pi, dp.4...".. and I open it up,
and The Bomb Goes Off.
