LAST EDITED ON Aug-08-07 AT 03:17 PM (EDT) I think he meant the soundtrack of the current movie. But there wasn't any good place to put it on-screen, and I prefer the original, slower version anyway. And "Till All Are One" isn't a bad song, but I've always had issues with the concept embodied by the phrase, so I'm glad it wasn't official :)Offsides Edit to include: while I'm at it, I might as well plug my (one and only) anime music video, which was done to the version of "The Touch" on the original movie soundtrack with footage from "Genesis Survivor Gaiarth" you can find it here: http://www.honorablemenschen.com/videos/partners.mpg [...] in order to be a realist you must believe in miracles. -- David Ben Gurion EPU RCW #π #include <stdsig.h> |

Well, that's not at all surprising; the soundtrack of the current movie isn't a soundtrack at all, it's a sampler record by which the record company involved in the film's production is trying to sell more records by its top-flight crap bands and the second-string crap bands that sound just like them. Movies haven't had real soundtrack albums since the '80s. I mean, look at Transformers: Scrapheaps in Disguise - even the relatively little decent rock/pop music used as incidental music in the film isn't on the record. Where's "Sexual Healing"? Where's "Baby Come Back"? Where's "Drive"? Omitted in favor of more generic post-grunge guitar rock. Bah. --G. -><- Benjamin D. Technically, "'Til All Are One" is not a new song, but an update of "Ground Zero," the "BotCon Theme" from Stan's album "Call to Action," also performed live at the Stan Bush/Vince DiCola BotConcert (and released on the VHS tape and con-exclusive concert CD of the performance). Bush changed the refrain from "Ground Zero" to "Transformers," and replaced half the rest of the refrain with new words, too. Kind of a pity, really; I preferred the original wording. I hear Stan submitted them for consideration for the "Revenge of the Fallen" soundtrack, too, but no word on whether they took him up on it this time. |
