I got the impression that he thought that what the Avatar needs is to get on to the next incarnation, finally.

He's not that much of a radical. (And if he were, he would be in for a grave disappointment.) More that he finds her irritatingly frivolous and easily distracted, and he has pretty significant misgivings about these New People. He's not old enough to realize that she's actually become more like herself since she went Outside in the wake of the Spirit Incident of 271.

It's not unlike the reason why she doesn't do meditation as regular sages understand it - "still water is dead water" - and Cheong doesn't have the cultural background to (if you will pardon the pun) fathom that attitude. His roots are mainly in the Earth Kingdom, where the phrase "for pity's sake will you light somewhere already" is not an uncommon viewpoint. :)

I don't think they're a thing... but there's a Thor, Iron-Man, Hulk and Captain America - one of whom was an Avenger back in the Marvel'verse. So having them team up with Tony making remarks about "Hey, this feels familiar" when none of the others have met before would be possible.

Hulk, Thor, Ironman, and Black Widow are 80% of the Avengers from the first movie - the only one missing is the less-interesting Hawkeye. They all know UF Gryphon. If the illustrious staff of Eyrie Productions are sending all and sundry against Oriphos to reclaim the lost children in a future installment, adding the Avengers to the team would certainly be feasible. Of course, that would turn the snark level to 11 - imagine Nall and Tony Snark (er, Stark) in the same scene. Danger!

In my imagination, Kate Bishop (the more interesting Hawkeye, in my opinion) is a bored socialite who wants something of greater substance than being a part of the Grand Tour that New Avalon's wealthy have.

However, it is perhaps worth bearing in mind that they don't all know each other at the moment, and that the UF-universe Thor is not the Marvel Thor.

In UF, at least three of Jeremy Renner's characters are all the same guy. It's not clear whether "Clint Barton" is his real name, but it's believed that his archery skills stem from Order of St. Ignatius training undertaken as a means of recovering from the double traumas of a career as an Earthforce explosive ordnance disposal technician and a subsequent forcible "recruitment" into an ill-advised super-soldier program.

As such, he's not THAT uninteresting. :)

It seems very probable that Captain America (a, if not the, Deputy Chief of the IPO), Iron Man (major IPO contractor) and the Hulk (alter ego of an IPO scientist) are at least aware of each other although Tony may not have ever mentioned having been on a super-team with their dimensional counterparts.

I could see Tony having a mental rolodex for 'if I need to assemble some Avengers' that includes both the other two and he'd likely add UF! Thor, Clint Barton and Natasha Romanova to the list if he came across them.

Whether or not he'd ever get the chance and whether it'd work is quite another matter.

But this has turned into a lengthy digression.

Bah, you say that, but that was clearly Chris Hemsworth in this chapter. The make-up department just dyed his hair red.

Sure, but they largely didn't know each other in the Avengers movie, either. Nick Fury kind of threw them together, though a few had at least received some type of briefing ahead of time.

He already sounds more interesting than his portrayal in the movies. Maybe you should direct Avengers 3. You could certainly do a better job of avoiding controversial tweets than Joss Whedon managed.

According to his BPGD file, his biological age is 86 years in 2409. (We don't get to count the years he was in suspended animation, after all.)

Between twenty-fifth century science and the super-soldier serum, he might go a lot longer than we'd expect; the survivors of Project Rebirth II have seen over 250 years and are still doing quite well.

In the end, 99.999999% + 1 of the vampires of that type were destroyed when the ritual sacrifice was swapped out.

The weirdest part of playing an away game against the Spiderwolves is that nobody comes to see them play in person. Everyone stays home and watches it on TV. It's a really nice facility, and you get a handful of visiting-team fans, but it's like the locals aren't allowed in the stadium or something. Also, nobody can figure out why it's called Dog Park.

The only people who could dispute it would be Naaza and Shuten, who are both lost on the icecap in a pocket dimension in the middle of winter.

The question is, who among the good guys would be helped most by indestructible armor and absolute power over half of Ishiyama?

It's been a long time, but I seem to recall that the Warlords' yoroi are cursed in the original, which is why their wearers serve Lord Talpa and act in ways that are perverse interpretations of the virtues they're supposed to represent. I could be completely misremembering that, though, and they're really just assholes who willingly work for a demon lord.
