I have a title for you, my children.

The next installment of Warriors of the Outer Rim - which will pick up almost immediately after Road Movie to Naboo and, by the time it's done with, cover pretty much the entire period between Road Movie and Blades - will be entitled:

(dramatic musical sting... )

Undocumented Features Future Imperfect
-=Warriors of the Outer Rim=-

The Fulcrum of Fate

Like Road Movie, it's looking to be a four-part miniseries. Also like Road Movie, more than just the first episode will be finished before the first one is released, which should alleviate the "... hell, now where was I heading with this again?" problem that some of UF's other incomplete series are struggling with.

In fact, more than the first episode is finished now, so...

With a little bit of luck, you ought to be looking at Part I by Columbus Day (or those of you outside the United States, that's the coming Monday), with Part II by Christmas and the remaining two parts in the first half of 2007.

And just what is the Fulcrum of Fate?

Well, if we do our job right, you won't know until the very end.

I have no idea, but I *do* know that you need a level 32 Defender if you want to shift it.

As a Nethack player, I find your respect for Surtur amusing.

Nice. It sounds like a Dr. Who arc title, or a pulp fantasy adventure novel.

   Out-standing, good sir.

That is one of the time periods I've been seriously wondering about
for the last year or two.

I look forward to seeing it.

For some reason, the opening theme to the god-awfully-WWII-submarine-drama-like Wing Commander movie pops into my head. They could have done that movie a lot better than they did, but the music was pretty decent.

AWESOME. I've been eagerly awaiting the next Warriors of the Outer Rim story ever since the small fragments involving the Harry Potter characters were posted.

Have I ever mentioned that I love the way UF manages to mix sci-fi and fantasy sources so well?
