"TFLF 11"
|
LAST EDITED ON Apr-13-16 AT 11:19 PM (EDT) In fairness, it probably feels like finals week has taken eight months to the HTT girls, but they've finally made it through. This one's mostly setup, because I'm trying to get back to season 1's shorter, faster-paced eps, but Important Stuff's a-comin'. We'll see if it works.() --G. -><- Benjamin D. I- But she- whaaaat.... Master Ikki has some 'splainin' to do... Ok, that was definitely back to the short, sweet excellence of TFLF. I'm loving the bits of the "view from outside" perspective we get from the HTT girls interacting with the "main" cast, as well as how adaptive their story is being. It's really feeling like an additional, important thread weaving between the other pieces and between "groups" of characters to help tie them all together nicely. Looking forward to what the junior varsity comes up with, as well as the promised "Important Stuffs". This experiment continues to be a success! -Droken "If at first you don't succeed, bull- riding is not for you." |

LAST EDITED ON Apr-16-16 AT 08:38 AM (EDT) Yeeeeah, that's seventeen shades of bizarre. But there's quite a few new and interesting resources at Corwin's disposal now. Or should I say the Admiral's?Mayhap Ikki inhabits a Mental Model now, is all I'm sayin'. In any case, this is looking excellent, and it IS very good to see these disparate threads coming together. Very much looking forward to the continuation! ------ Fearless creatures, we all learn to fight the Reaper Can't defeat Her, so instead I'll have to be Her |

Or should I >say the Admiral's? > >Mayhap Ikki inhabits a Mental Model now, is all I'm sayin'. Not for the first time (even in a TFLF context), I'm reminded of the Red Dwarf episode where they think Lister is a robot. "Who would build such a thing? What's its purpose? The consumption of all the universe's chicken vindaloo?" --G. OK, Ikki's not so much about the chicken, but -><- Benjamin D. "The office? Hm. I wonder what that's about," said Mio. "It's that room where the principal is, but that's not important right now," said Ritsu matter-of-factly. Ah, the Zucker Brothers School of Comedy. Never gets old. :) Ebony the Black Dragon

Thrud carried around toy poodle that he affectionately called "Splat," mostly because Splat was a normal poodle, except for immortality-level regeneration. The running gag was that Splat was actually the Supreme Mentalist of the Planet Earth (we didn't have a Sorcerer Supreme, but we did have Dr. Braintrust, M.D., Ph.D., SMPE), and Thrud was the special effect of his telekinesis. I did something similar in one of the multigenre GURPS tournaments I wrote and ran in the 90s for Double Exposure here in NJ. One of the player characters was a teenaged girl who thought she was a witch, with a cat as a "familiar". But when the player got the character sheet, they were taken aside and told that the cat was the player character (with psychic powers), and that the teenaged girl was its incompetent dependent character. -- Bob ------------------- My race is pacifist and does not believe in war. And going full circle, one of Sofaspud's characters thought the talking cat was actually the one with the powers, and she was just there to help. It was simply a stuffed cat. Nothing at all special about it. Rhea had issues. Lots of issues. Matrix Dragon, J. Random Nutter |
