"The Fall of Petrograd: The Soundtrack"

I decided not to put music links in the stories themselves any more, since I've been burned too many times by the medium-to-long-term instability of things on YouTube, but for what it's worth in this moment, here are the songs from this mini-series. No warranty is offered as to whether they will work where you are (another of the many problems with sourcing music on YouTube).

There is a fair bit of repetition, but all of it is on purpose.

Act I

1. The Ink Spots
"Memories of You"
(1940)

2. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"A Mad Russian's Christmas"
Christmas Eve and Other Stories (1996)

3. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"Wizards in Winter"
The Lost Christmas Eve (2004)

4. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"Winter Palace"
Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) (2012)

Act II

1. The Ink Spots
"Maybe"
(1940)

2. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"A Mad Russian's Christmas"
Christmas Eve and Other Stories (1996)

3. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"The Wisdom of Snow"
The Lost Christmas Eve (2004)

4. Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen
"Midnight in Moscow"
Midnight in Moscow (1962)

5. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"Winter Palace"
Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) (2012)

Act III

1. The Ink Spots
"We Three (My Echo, My Shadow, and Me)"
(1940)

2. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"A Mad Russian's Christmas"
Christmas Eve and Other Stories (1996)

3. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"Winter Palace"
Dreams of Fireflies (On a Christmas Night) (2012)

4. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"Wish Liszt (Toy Shop Madness)"
The Lost Christmas Eve (2004}

5. Savatage
"Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)"
Dead Winter Dead (1995)

Note: This is the same track—not just the same song, but the same recording—that was released the next year on the first Trans-Siberian Orchestra album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories.

6. Trans-Siberian Orchestra
"The Wisdom of Snow"
The Lost Christmas Eve (2004)

They're all on those "provided to YouTube by $recordlabel" channels, so that's presumably some kind of regional thing? Not sure how those work, other than "not very well," evidently.

Sigh.

Unfortunately, the English speaking world's music licenses are generally split up the way DVD licenses were split up, instead of how Bluray licenses are split up.

Well, there, you see? I try to be a good citizen and get these things from official sources, rather than link to accounts that have obviously pirated them, and this is the thanks I get.

I never claimed to be surprised. I am, however, annoyed.
