*Looks to Gryphon* Bwa?
Honestly, I think I grok what he's talking about, but all the same it sounds like there's a bit of a story involved behind Magic Nose Machine™.

Well... a CPAP flow generator, right, it's a machine... you attach it to your nose... and it's magic. I don't know what else you would call it, really. :)

Which is exactly why I started calling it that after the first time you referred to it that way.

On a related note, I still don't have a functioning machine (BiPAP in my case), and the earliest I can get my hands on one is tomorrow morning. I may be legally insane by then from lack of sleep...

Based on the sound effects, I tend to call mine the Darth Vader Device.

Come to thing of it, my Ex used to call it the Darth Mask as well.

My Nieces call my sisters the Moo Maker because she used to manage to kink her air hose in such a way it would make a Mooo when she inhaled.

Up until now, I used to think that having my nose work fine during allergy season until I lay down was a huge bother (finally get comfortable in bed and suddenly realize nose isn't working and I gotta get up and put on a nose strip), but now I see that I really am fortunate. :p

I have a CPAP as well. I've been on it for the last 10 years and it really makes a difference. I used to wake up with horrible headaches at the base of my skull from the oxygen deprivation, and I'd fall asleep driving into work. Since I was a 911 Dispatcher and my shift started at midnight, falling asleep twice on the interstate was a BAD THING.

And don't forget, if you need to hide under the covers from monsters in the room, you have a supply of fresh air! :)
