"Wack-ass retro game of the day"
 
   It's called Jets'n'Guns, and like Tank Universal, it's pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. There are jets; there are guns. And a lot of bizarre, slightly-off-axis (because European, I think) off-color jokes. It's either a ridiculously complicated casual game or the shallowest really involved game I've ever encountered, I can't quite decide which one, but it's quite good fun if you have that retro-side-scroller gene.

Also, the soundtrack is by a deeply preposterous (and I mean that in the best possible way Swedish heavy metal band called Machinae Supremacy, who practice (and purport to have invented) a style called "SID Metal". Much of their work, including the soundtrack to Jets'n'Guns and Jets'n'Guns Gold, is available for free from their website. Tragically, their utterly rockin' cover of the Bionic Commando theme doesn't seem to be present on their downloads page any more, though, like almost everything else, it is available on YouTube.
