"it's cold up here!"
|
Started a new job yesterday in MA about 30 min from Worchester! I feel a little different being so close to the birthplace of EPU. Maybe someday I'll go tour WPI :) ****************************** Remember, two wrongs do not make a right, but three lefts do. I'm really here, but I'm not here, really. ****************************** RCW#665 the other neighbor of the beast |

Wow, it's been a long time since I had to tell someone there's no H in Worcester. :) That said, 30 minutes east, west, or what? I had jobs in Westborough and Marlborough back in the elder days. And Burlington, but that's more like an hour out. --G. -><- Benjamin D. Bah. Come to the Great Plains and say that. People will look at you funny. Just like they used to look at me when I used to say Ar-Kansas. You know, because of the 's' on the end. Had the same problem in the town I grew up in, Norfolk (pronounced by me as Nor-Folk, by the rest of the yokels as Nor-Fork), NE. The best explanation for this rather silly inability to use the 'l' rather than the non-existent 'r' came from the early name of the town, North Fork (as in North Fork of the Elkorn River). Completely unrelated, my only consistent bad marks during my primary and secondary education were in English. |
