Last one, at least for now. Hope you've enjoyed them. ---
Evangelion Unit 01 was active, its eyes and Elerium colliders
glowing.
"Control, are you getting this?!" Xavier Ellison cried.
"Roger, EVA-10," Kaori Yamashita replied. She frowned.
"Well, what the fuck am I supposed to do about it?!" Xavier
demanded.
"Well, gee, let me think," Yamashita replied with elaborate
deliberation. "The unit's -active-... it's inside a Class A secure
area... and it's been commandeered by the enemy. You're a combat
pilot. -You- figure it out, tough guy."
Kaori Yamashita did not appreciate being sworn at.
"Relax, X," Juhichi chipped in. "The unit's locked into its
launch gantry, it can't do anything. Just wait for its pilot to
figure that out and give up."
EVA-01's pilot had already figured that out.
The unit subsided momentarily, and Juhichi was just drawing
breath to say, "See?" when, eyes blazing, EVA-01 let out a tremendous,
rafter-shaking roar and lunged forward like a striking cobra. The
gantry hardpoints shattered like glass, sending fragments flying in
all directions, and the purple EVA took two steps forward in the
ankle-deep storage fluid with all its extra momentum. It stumbled and
fell to one knee, its right hand splashing down and disappearing as it
splayed across the hidden compartment deck.
Its left hand flew to its shoulder, and a half-second later, a
Progressive Knife swept around in a block, catching EVA-10's tonfa
strike and deflecting it away from the unit's head. EVA-01 surged to
its feet, overpowering Xavier's poorly balanced unit and sending it
crashing to its back. Suspension fluid sloshed from one side of the
cage to the other in great pink waves.
EVA-01 half-turned on its heel, took one smooth stride forward
and brought its right fist down on the knot of SEELE troopers. Screaming,
the troopers not crushed outright plunged the hundred fifty feet to the
sea of suspension fluid as the catwalk disintegrated from the force of
the blow.
EVA-11 leveled its autorifle, but EVA-01 had already noticed
it. The purple unit whirled, letting the Prog Knife fly halfway
through the turn, and with a resounding CHONK the blade buried itself
hilt-deep in the SEELE unit's head, dead-center through its left eye.
The white unit toppled, dropping its weapon as its hands rose to
clutch at its wounded head.

I'm just wondering who's running Eva-01: Is DJ back, or has Lucifer finally regained himself enough to manifest fully? Or is it someone else that we'll never guess until the release of TMP? :) In any case, I'd say that from the three glimpses into NXE:TMP (AN) you've given us, it's gonna rock the house and then some, quite possibly exceeding the overall effect of the last two movements of SOS (which were one hell of a ride). Oh - I forgot: this sequence (and the extended battle which follow it are scored to the "Meet Bambi in the King's Harem" Mix of White Zombie's "More Human Than Human", which is on their remix album, Supersexy Swingin' Sounds. You can hear the points at which EVA-01 throws itself against the restraints in the guitar hits during the buildup intro; it breaks free when the drum line comes in for good. From a cinematic-imagination-into-plain-text standpoint, this sequence was damn frustrating. --G.

Either SEELE repainted it, or this possibly shows that the scene was written before the final chapter of the original series and a slight continuity gaffe needs to be attended to. If I'm right on that, then Gryphon's been working on this longer than even we thought he was! I can't wait! This is gonna rock! -Logan

ok.....help me pinpoint this, but i thought at the beginning DJ said someone painted his eva purple and green right? So does that mean that after the second impact humans came, found Lucifer, after that big explosion with his tatters of armor and decided to paint it purple and green again? i mean it is kind of a long shot right? but of course i am writing this from memory so forgive my mistakes,i just wanted to clear up a misconception i might have. once again sorry for the big oops i made

Then they painted green unit markings, details, stuff like that over the purple, and that's why it's purple and green at the begining of the series. Or I could be totally wrong, but that's what I'm guessing.

After a night of re reading the stories in question I would like to just say that Lucifer's armor is never really specified as purple.Even in the flashback the armor is just said to be Garishly colored and thats it. If I may I would also like to submit a hypothesis(for discussion) on how lucifer ended up with his original color scheme in teaser number 3 (purple and green). I came upon this line of thought when I was looking for proof as to what color Lucifer had for his armor.Right here i go FACT: Natla is actually Natlateth. So it stands to reason that as a demon princess should have seen Lucifer's armor once or twice in her career.If for some reason she has never seen the armor before surely she saw it in the battle of the Second Impact.
ASSUMTION: The expedition to the artic circle was either already under control or swiftly taken over by Natla after the expedition.
FACT:Acting through human agents Natla soon had Lucifer's Comatose body Shortly after the second impact.
alright here is the hypothesis. HYPOTHESIS:In NXE Natla thought the Almighty is weak because of his Imperfect creations, so when Lucifer and Moloch tried to return to the Symphony she wrote them of as weaklings with weaknesses equalling or exceeding the weakness she saw in the Almighty. Therefore after disposing of lucifer she believed herself superior to Lucifer. CONCLUSION:So now fast forward to the future represented in the teaser BEFORE it happens....OK She has just recaptured Lucifer with his GREEN color schematic DJ is nowhere to be seen.she has her little victory celebration and then to prove her superiority she has Lucifer painted in his old battle armor colors to mock him
To her the demon lord of hell all ready to go to battle but cant even control his own body must be some kind of ego boost.I just think that this is what she would do and to me this is "in Character" for her. WF -but then I have given up trying to anticipate Gryphon- -ideas happen in the weirdest places- _____________
