"Positive CoVID-19 Test."

As above. Think it was brought into the house when my partner went to a hospital appointment. Tested twice in succession with two lateral flow tests, both positive. PCR test arrives tomorrow.

Hey, Ben, you might finally be rid of me at last! Haha. ha. ha.

fuck i'm scared.

Not completely. Had my first jab in June, haven't had the second yet. Because I'm young and my disabilities don't put me at risk, I was right at the back of the queue. Rightly so, of course, but it's a bit irritating now. =]

Best of fortune to you. And remember to keep in mind the courage and will of the people of Trbznsc Hospital, who helped bring Transbelvia through these troubled times. :)

Thanks Peter. I will remember the Transbelvian mass vaccination initiative, which involved medtechs roaming the countryside armed with hastily-converted tranquiliser guns. It was the lowest month of crime on record. Everyone was vaccinated. And also quite sleepy.

Thanks Gryph. It's... pretty mild so far, mostly just wheezing like a broken accordion and having weird temperature fluctuations. It's not gone full Deadly Virus yet, but I'm still nervous.

That sucks and I blame the hospital.

>Hey, Ben, you might finally be rid of me at last! Haha. ha. ha.

But then who would come up with some of the delightfully deranged ideas you’ve brought to the table? (Admittedly, some in the same manner of a cat who found a mouse and brings it to the armchair in the living room.)

Just relax and binge on something on tv.

I can't really blame the hospital. It's done its best to deal with the mass influx of patients and Thanet's been pretty badly hit - and our hospital's the only one in the area. Also, not gonna lie, I always expect to come back with something unpleasant and greenish if I go to a building full of sick people. =]

Y'know, cats do that because they're colony creatures and they never see you hunt, so it's a combination of "here I am Supporting You" and "see you big stupid giant this is how you do it". Mine don't because they're all indoor cats and also geriatric, but yeah. (My partner and I do palliative end-of-life fostering for elderly cats)

I'll try to relax. I'm currently wandering blearily through My Hero Academia, which... honestly I think everyone from there would slot right into the UF-verse as an offshoot of the Xavier Academy. Especially Tsuyu. Her power is Frog. She is awesome.

Everyone except Mineta. I may not have seen MHA, but I know about the grape haired asshole who is inexplicably the author's favorite. Not even Eyrie magic could salvage him, I think.

I said they'd all slot in. Never said they'd all be heroes - Bakugo, for instance, would need a whole Eyrie Arc to make him even slightly tolerable IMO. I agree though, Mineta would last about five seconds before Laura Kinney turned him into a bucket of wet mince.

It's a shame, because "perpetually leering pervert" is his entire character, but his appearance and powers are the kind of things I normally quite like. I have a fondness for people with crap powers using them creatively, especially when the people doing so are weird little goblins. But no, we've got to make him the human equivalent of cheap motel sheets under a blacklight. Joy.

Mina, on the other hand, is wholesome and delightful and blasts acid from her hands. All the girls are a joy to be around, actually, but Mina in particular is just so much fun.

I have this peculiar head-cannon that Tsuyu is somehow the child of Kermit the Frog, and rather than get into showbiz, she decided she wanted to fight crime. She just has that same kind of odd combination of "wholesome, yet frank and longsuffering" that Kermit has going on for him.

Of course, on the other hand, there have been those moments where Kermit was anything but wholesome, as Jim Henson was fond of saying that Kermit would say all the stuff Jim can't because Kermit could get away with it.

Anyhow, hang in there, Traitor, and drink as much as you can. Fluids. Not booze. Though if you know how to make a good hot toddy, then I'd say go for it.

I continue to not be dead.

This has made a lot of people very unhappy and has widely been regarded as a bad move. =]

I didn't mean for anyone to worry, and I apologise for the upset caused by that.

I have recovered, and so has my partner. We've also made sure that none of our companion animals have contracted it, and I'm back to working in a retro theme park under the auspices of the guy who owns the rights to beloved British television puppet Sooty.

Y'know, I've been around this place for about a decade now, and my life's a lot better than it was - but it's also a lot weirder than it was, and that's good too. =]

I presently live with seventeen rats, three cats, a hamster, a leopard gecko, and an eight-foot boa constrictor I rescued by accident. I used to sell pinball machines out of a shipping container in an art gallery. I have a postgraduate degree in creepypasta. Sometimes you don't figure out how strange your life is until you write it all out.

There's a mood. My life has become -exceptionally- strange of late - but weird is good, y'know?

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea
