"What? The future of mankind's at stake?"

Yes, such questions bother me every day of my life. Especially at times like this.

Hiya, everybody. My real name, if you want it is probably somewhere on this forum. I don't know really, I haven't explored much. My preferred name is Kitsune. I am not an average teenager. My memory capacity is almost nil. You could say something to me and two seconds later I wouldn't remember it. However, give me a fic like UF and I can remember almost every damn thing. My tastes run towards the epic in novels, and that can be tedious. However, I can't seem to read much else. I spend most of my time online barring annoyances like chores, school, and sports. These came together when I read UF. I have been on this site waiting for an opportunity to somehow do something to contribute to this unusual merging of my two main interests. Thanks to this forum, I now have it.

To anyone who is offended by any references I may make, I am a devout Christian. I doubt any such comments by me will be made, but my mouth sometimes works faster than my head does, the result being I will usually come off like a brainless twit. I assure you, I am anything but.

Mostly, I'm very cheerfully pessimistic. I tend to be wrong often when I try to understand people, so I assume the worst when I meet somebody. I try to be as nice as possible about the whole thing, but that rarely works. I usually turn off people in droves.

I am a swimmer and track runner, so my physical appearance is mostly lean. I'm rather tall for my age of fifteen, about 5'10". I look nothing like Gryphon, or at least, like the pictures I've seen of him. I have blond hair which is currently rather short and hazelish eyes.

If anybody on here happens to know me in real life, I will be very surprised and thoroughly distressed.

In an odd twist, I rather look forward to the End of the Universe. The events surrounding it will be rather interesting, I imagine. Besides, it will be interesting to see who is right about how and why it will happen. Even more so, I reckon I will enjoy the end of my existence.

Enough about me. I have yet to read about any of you, so if I've done this the wrong way, let me know. I have a tendency to plunge in half-blindly, so do please correct me when I'm wrong, because most often I won't even know I've been wrong.

The First Foundation was only the beginning.

Not exactly a masculine name, but hey, who am I to argue?

We have devout just-about-everything here (as well as laxadasical religious sorts from all over the spectrum), but we generally stay off the religious track (though Norse mythological figures come up farily often, for reasons which, if you read UF, you should already know.) Live and let live or something like that. I belong to the First Church of Guava Juice and Staying Up Late.
Just don't let your religious beliefs get in the way of common sense (or hot dog buns.)

Stranger things have happened. Just look at 'Hopelessly Lost.'

The 'End of The Universe' will probably dramatically unspectacular, and far beyond the extinction of the human race. Unless Vaughn suffers amnesia, in which case we're all done for. I expect the end of the Earth to be a little more spectacular. With the most spacewrothy nation's foreign policy thrack record, we stand a pretty good chance of getting ourselves blown up by someone eventually.

That doesn't seem to stop anyone else around here (myself included).
Now that I've once again exceeded my parenthesis quota for this message, welcome to the Eyrie.net forum.
