Tali being Tali, and the future being the future, I'm sure she's fully literate by that age - but Standard is presumably not her first written language, so she probably has to concentrate to make sure she's using the right letters. Many of them look annoyingly similar if you're used to quarian glyphs. Esqecia11y im the 1ower case.
