"Hi! New here, and got something to say!"

Hmmm... somehow that subject heading sounds wrong, but ah well, I'm and idiot. ;)

Actually, I first read NXE about two years ago, and wanted to try editing the whole thing for Windows Word then, but hadn't be able to make the time. I recently finished editing all 900 pages or so in font 12 size, and was just wondering whether or not the original writer(s) would like me to send them to him/her/them. I'm sure there's still about a thousand mistakes all over the place, but I did the best I could by myself.

A few things went by ignored, because they were so negligible. But I've got one question: the word "coaming" shows up twice in the entire extract, and the closest thing I can relate it to is "foaming", but it makes no sense. I can't remember where it showed up the first time, but it showed up in the last chapter where DJ leases Asuka and Misato behind to activate EVA-01. Any help as to what it is meant to be exactly?

Anyhow, I'll drop by from time to time to try and work out whether or not any of the original writers want me to send my edited documents to them. Anyway, till later, bye, and God bless! ^_^

Please see this document. It's not specifically about Word format, but you should be able to infer something from it.

coaming (ko' ming) n. Nautical A raised rim or border around an opening, as in a ship's deck, designed to keep out water. [Origin unknown.] (American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Third Edition, 1992)

By extension, the rim around any door or hatch, or around the edge of an aircraft cockpit (where the canopy fits down). The part where you shouldn't put your fingers if you want to keep them when the hatch closes. :)

Hmmmm... I'll read that another time: I hardly have enough time on my hands as it is! :p

I'll take it that you don't want the edited documents then, Gryphon, so I'll just keep them in storage. And I'm almost certain you're the original writer, looking around now.

Could I ask permission to print out a copy or two of all your work once I'm satisfied that I've edited everything properly? I'll end up doing the same thing with Apothesis as well, with your permission.

Thank you very much for your time. ^_^

Yup, that's me.

I don't mind what you do with it, as long as you don't fool with the credits or the content or sell it. Convert it to Word format, print it out, arrange stones in the desert so that it can be read from space, whatever turns you on. :)

well, OK, but make sure you do it with one of the later, good episodes. you know, as opposed to the early, sucky ones.

Great. Now I'm going to be sitting here all night, trying to figure out what's wrong with me, that I can't figure out what makes the "early, sucky" episodes sucky.

"I" before "E," except after "C," unless sounded like "ay," as in "neighbor" or "weigh."

*Grins again* Who says it has to be English.

Or rather, as Gryphon termed it best in UF, "American Generic."
