Actually, I had the same initial reaction, until I saw the purple ribbon. Then I had the strangest thought it was some kind of church thing.
Then I entertained myself with "what if it's not taxidermy, and the Google Streetview car just happened to go past at the moment a badger had climed up on that stool?"
