That makes an interesting resonance with the only other place I've seen a T-Gewehr appear in a story — a character got one as a present/reward for her part in taking down a shipful of pirates. She used it for target plinking on Sunday afternoons, and a friend (the pyromaniac one) was pretty good at metalworking, so she immediately started working on a bayonet fitting.
I suspect that the majority of the current cast would consider this maybe just a little bit over the top...
