   Certain setups that Palmer used (especially touring for the Emerson, Lake and Palmer album Brain Salad Surgery in 1974-5) did include bells as well---namely a large church bell suspended over his head that he would play by yanking a cord with his teeth while his hands were occupied with the gongs and his feet with the bass drum.

It is entirely as ridiculous as one might imagine, though not on the level of Terry Bozzio or Mike Portnoy, who have taken ridiculous kits to entirely new levels in the last two decades.
