You know, I'd ordinarily be the first one to jump on something like this, but... remember, this is an episode of Brave and the Bold.

That means it isn't necessarily 100% completely accurate as to what happened. They're going to make cuts and edits for both security, entertainment, and political reasons.

Like, Gryphon likely had an Earth Alliance team of "minders" hovering around in the background, as one can't imagine they'd want him wandering around the planet unobserved. Doesn't come up! Why not? Completely unimportant to the story, and they have to fit this thing into a half-hour timeslot. The Surprise may or may not ACTUALLY be capable of getting from Zeta Cygni into orbit of the homeworld of a paranoid police state completely undetected (I find it more likely Gryphon had a ride already waiting and Raven went THERE) but it makes for rollickin' good tension as Gryphon scrambles around waiting for backup. Plus it might make the EA a bit nervous when this airs, so, bonus. That team of "vigilante" vampire hunters might have in fact been an EA wet team dedicated to purging the supernatural from the planet, but Gryphon is probably not going to want to put that out on TV given current tensions.

Basically, this was an awesome comic-book story, rather than a formal recounting of what "really" happened. I choose to approach it in that context.
