Eurus Island - Eurus is the Greek god of the east wind (that is, a wind that blows from east to west). The island is so called because it's to the east of the City of New Avalon.

Eddie and me - Spider-Man fans may recognize "Eddie" as Spidey's original black costume from Secret Wars. In the comics this went on to be converted into a colossally overhyped and unsatisfactory villain. Here, not so much.

a HYDRA strike team - In the remainder of this incident (which was omitted from the Brave and the Bold rendition because it wasn't very wacky and, in fact, might have caused a public panic - Anya learned that if you have an alien symbiont and you are exposed to HYDRA's "GREEN FLU" bioweapon in the course of preventing them from introducing it into the Avalon County atmosphere processor, you'll be OK, because Eddie will isolate it and get it out of your system with no permanent ill effects. On the other hand, it'll take him half an hour or so to do it, during which time - inconveniently - you will be a psychotically aggressive semi-amorphous teeth monster and may attempt to devour the Chief. Embarrassing, really.

the holovision set - Heck, I didn't even have a television in the real Morgan 401. There was no wiring for cable in the WPI dorms then, and no worthwhile antenna reception on campus, so there was no point in lugging one up the stairs. (TVs were heavier then.)

a uniformed police constable - As noted elsewhere, this is a callback to Amy Pond's first appearance as an adult in the Doctor Who series 5 opener, "The Eleventh Hour".

an arresting deep blood red - Marceline's appearance as a UF character is largely informed by this article of fan art, which was the first illustration in which I (knowingly, anyway) saw the character. Adventure Time's standard art style is so heavily stylized that I have a hard time picturing its characters in UF as canonically depicted, anyway.

Coffee Kingdom - The coffee shop at the corner of Pleasant and Richmond is not actually called Coffee Kingdom any more in real life, but what the hell. We've seen it before in UF, of course; it's where Kaitlyn and Juri decided they were going to attempt the Relationship Thing in S1M5 Roses in Springtime. There's another one in New Avalon, as seen in the Raven/The Demon Halloween Special, but it's not clear whether they're actually related.

featuring a bold black exclamation point - Another bit of merch for the New Avalon-based punk rock band BANG. Wakaba Shinohara's also a fan; she has a similar top, in a different color, in S3M2 Per Ardua.

styled in the shape of a double-bitted battle axe - It actually is an axe, but at this point Gryphon takes it for a novelty item.

your blood ran cold - Marcy alters this line from its original third-person perspective to the second person.

HNHVV and SV - The Human/Near-Human Vampirism Virus and Sanguinare vampiris, pathogens which cause vampirism-like syndromes in human and humanoid lifeforms. Neither is true vampirism, which is a supernatural state of being, not a disease. HNHVV is the UF equivalent of HMHVV, the Human/Metahuman Vampirism Virus, from the Shadowrun game setting; SV is from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

That face you pulled - Something like this one.

Oranbega - Also called Norumbega, Norombega, etc., a mythical lost city of gold which 14th-century explorers thought existed somewhere just to the west of what would become the New England coastline. Various places in modern-day Maine and Massachusetts are called by variations of the name in tongue-in-cheek reference to the legend (the City of Bangor, Maine's original city hall was called Norumbega Hall, for instance). In the City of Heroes universe, it's an underground megacomplex of ruins underneath most of the northeastern seaboard of the US, with many entrances to be found in Paragon City, Rhode Island, and is the ancient seat of the cruel and destructive wizard cult, the Circle of Thorns. Here it turns up as the cool-jammin' subterranean home of the Circle of Horns, and is apparently accessible from various places in Worcester as well.

some Tang and a donut - That's what they hooked us up with the time there was a blood drive at my high school. Nowadays donuts are probably verboten for PC health-consciousness reasons.

always wanted a Flying V - Hell yeah. They're a pain to find left-handed, but that's not really a problem for Marcy (who is also left-handed, but so crazy good at it that she can actually switch-hit while playing, upside-down strings and all).

Her Dread Majesty Marceline Abadeer - Marceline's late father, like many demon aristos, had a number of names. "The Lord of Blood" was a title, indicative of his status as the originator and promoter of the Sanguivorus curse. The name he preferred to go by in everyday discourse was "Hunson Abadeer"; various mortal societies knew (and feared) him by other names. For instance, the peoples of Nirn knew him as the daedric prince of domination and enslavement, Molag Bal.

As hinted at by earlier dialogue, Marcy's relationship with her father was... complicated. But while she was often at odds with him during his life, and has zero interest in claiming his vacant infernal duchy or ruling over its wretched expanse from his citadel of misery, Coldharbor, she does honor his memory enough to use one of his names.

she caught the Katy - "The Katy" referred to in this 1968 blues classic was the now-defunct Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad, reporting mark MKT.

spacefolded... with the IES engaged - This is not just insane, it's impossible. But then so's the Stig.

except that we're all anarchists - Unlike in many of their pop-culture interpretations, the UF universe's vampires are no more a unified political or cultural entity than its humans. They don't have a mysterious and hierarchical secret society with a lot of capitalized nouns - and many of them, including Saya - think it's pretty funny that a lot of people seem to think they do.

working as a kissogram - The professional kissogram's usual MO is to go to parties and other public or semipublic functions, where there are a lot of witnesses. This has obvious risk mitigation benefits. Very few who aren't really some sort of call girl (or boy) would be willing to go alone, after 9 PM, even to a room in a government-run visitors' quarters. That probably played a role in Emma's selection of Marceline in the first place - there can't have been that many legitimate operators who would've been willing to go.

V1 tasted like crap and didn't help - as seen in The Bad Bank Caper.

I only have real problems with direct sunlight - Indeed, on Adventure Time, Marceline pretty routinely ventures out in broad daylight, and has no problems as long as she's in the shade or covered up. A parasol or a big hat and some attention to sun angles is all she really needs.

It may seem a bit odd to Gryphon that, if her father was the Lord of Blood, she isn't an outright daywalker like Saya (who would probably have responded to Bentley's sun lamp with a sarcastic remark and a punch in the face). There wasn't a good place for him to ask about it, but Marcy alludes to the reason earlier, when she notes that she and Saya aren't directly related "on the vampire side". She wasn't turned by her father - in fact, he wasn't that pleased about it, seeing his creations as somewhat beneath his little girl.
