BraaaaaaIIIIIIInnnnnzzzz....Well, I suppose that its actually a good thing that "And so they met" (2) has only prompted one Necro-post so far. ;)

Big thing that comes to mind here is that it kind of points out a blind spot UF-G has that he's never realized; to wit, that UF-G has been around so long and been so influential (even during Exile, in its own way) that is not so much that he's a product of his times, but that his times have subtly conformed themselves to him, if only by sheer exposure. And since its pretty much occurred over the spread of the last 400 years UF-wise, its easy to understand why UF-G has never realized. Besides, you've noted that except for when he's not front and center saving the whole darn universe from, well, stopping dead in its tracks, he does like to try to keep a low profile. So its totally understandable how he may not have noticed.
And on that note, I'll stop investigating too closely. Blame it on STO having run a server maintenance this AM leaving me with a bit too much time on my hands.
Of COURSE you wernt
