That's pretty much how the community at large sees it, it's a Final Fantasy game first, an MMO second, especially once you hit the first expansion's content (a lot of the very early stuff is pretty cliche MMO, right down to almost literal 'kill 10 rats' starter questing.) Also if you're a long time Final Fantasy player there's nostalgia and Easter Eggs around seemingly every corner.

I didn't think this was correct, because their site explicitly says "The World Visit System allows you to travel freely between the Worlds in your data center", and the top of their server status page says "North American Data Center", implying (to me at least) that everything under it is, y'know, in the NA datacenter.

Which apparently it is, but digging deeper I'm forced to come to the conclusion that you may be right, that each of the sub-data-center whatever-they-are's is considered a Data Center too.

I'll have to test when I get home tonight and see where all I can go.

Having just played a third alt through ARR, it's shorter than it used to be, but there's still a lot to play through.

A Data Center is one collection of Worlds (servers). So, the Primal Data Center contains Exodus, the server my two mains are on. I could cross-world with anyone else on the Primal Data Center, but not anyone on Crystal. My third alt is very new and is on Coeurl world, on Crystal Data Center.

Anyway, between my two mains on Exodus I'm happy to help anyone level, run dungeons or raids, whatever PvE content people want. I don't really do extreme content without unsync (ie, running it at max level, higher than the content was designed for), but I've done just about every dungeon and raid in normal mode, in any role.

I have Elhn Kitsune and Qalia Borlaaq on Exodus, and Aenra Kaljian on Coeurl.

I think BZArcher is also on Exodus? Anyone else on Primal is also welcome, if we want to get together and do something. =)

The 'episode arcs' of ARR feel a lot better now. Especially Titan and the Company of Jerks. Which I was done with in no time, while still hitting the good parts of the arc.

Oh gods yes, the Company of Heroes. It felt interminable to me, to be honest, but you're right--it used to be a lot longer. I could see some other places they cut down on the quests, such as Tataru's quest to find something she's good at.

In the end, the Longstop was the longest part of the quest. While the wine part afterwards is longer then the parts before it, I didn't find it too bad. Plus, well, that poor guy in the forest needs some kindness sent his way, so I'm glad they kept that.

If my tally is correct, we almost have enough people for a EPU Forum Light Party across the Primal DC, though as ever we might be short a healer.

Hah! Actually, my main character's main class is Astrologian. I can do whatever, though.

And you're right. I'd be down for some content. If there's people who still need to grind out relic weapons, there's always FATEs and some Antitower runs, or I'd be happy with whatever queue people want.

It varies, in part because I've gotten grabbed a bit by other games (Outer Worlds finally available outside of Epic Fail, and Breath of the Waifu aka Genshin Impact.) Most nights I can be available in the 8 to 11 PM range (Eastern time.) If we're hammering FATEs I'll likely be on my BLU trying to get the last few levels until 60.

I can be around at 8 EDT tomorrow if you like, and if you want we can start with an unsync Cutter's Cry run to try to get Ram's Voice and Dragon's Voice for you. I can confirm BLU is really awesome for FATE grinding, aside from getting XP.

Could be worth a try, the questions being who, what, and where? Most times I'm meeting people from other servers it's in a roulette, so I don't know if there's a traditional meeting point (the Waking Sands maybe, for masochists anyway.)

FYI I'm a him, I just prefer the female models/animations in most games that provide the option. And the true endgame of FFXIV, glamour, is much better for female characters IMHO.

Bunny Samurai that just hit 80 the other day. I'm almost done with MSQ stuff and am looking forwards to some end game grinding.

You can 100% go from level 1 to 80 doing just the MSQ as that is what I did. You end up doing your randoms for tomes anyway as it's a good way to gear up until 80.
