Way I look at it, both men are different takes on the stereotypical "Mad Englishman." Digby is the one who shows up into battle with a bowler hat and umbrella going "What's all this then?," while Churchill is the one who shows up with a bloody big sword goin' "Well come on if you think you're hard enough!"
