Oh! Right. The pre-WWII dustup in Manchuria. Yes, you're absolutely correct; that would certainly count as meaningful. I was more referring to the way that the Soviets basically got into it with Japan for about a month in 1945 for no other purpose than to make some territorial demands in the peace process and expand their sphere of influence generally; that's the bit I don't really count as having meaningfully been at war with them. -Merc Keep Rat |
