There's no friendly fire from Pals to you or structures, and from you to Pals (The grenade launcher Calli was using was an equippable item for her Pal, so it counts as Pal damage for things like that), but there is friendly fire from you to buildings, and from buildings to Pals; this is how you get flaming Lamballs after they step on a campfire, and how Bae burned her house down.
