>Tempted to say you've tried the wrong audiobooks. :)

>Although I may not be the right guy to ask, actually, not because I

>David McCullough in there. And Simon Winchester. Oh, I have a huge archive of accumulated audiobooks, it's just that from the standpoint of content, if I plonk in any one book for a listen, I'm getting...just the content of that book! I enjoy starship-oriented military fiction, space opera, space magic, regular old magic, political intrigue, character-driven narratives and a bunch of other things; I'd rather get it all welded together in one sweet package than try to listen to 20-odd books at the same time! :D
>Like many such developments around here, that one started out as
>"wouldn't it be funny if" and then evolved into "... but actually it
>makes sense as well." That Gaige would be in S11A03 was
>well-established fairly early on in that act's construction, but the
>"... Daddy?!" scene was provisional for a little while.
I figured it happened kind of like that. It's the way I responded to it, in just about that order.
Bushido:
>That still leaves the question of just who, exactly, Gaige's mother is.
Ya see, I started trying to work this out, and, to be frank, I'm going to sit back and wait for the reveal, if it ever comes. Otherwise, I'll end up writing Zaeed Massani (dysfunctional?) family-fics in my head when I really need to be getting other things done!
