Not sure how it would do as a dueling weapon, but by that point (Aleksandr's only two when we first see Worf in 2405, so he won't be of an age to attend DSM until around 2417) I'm sure the Society will have had plenty experience with inappropriate choices. I mean, even in 2410 they've got people showing up who use weapons like whatever the hell that thing Shizuru has is. :)
