"Chilled mi-go?"

In The Curse of The Big Train, Annalise mentions "prime mi-go in the chillbox." Is this a culinary delicacy, or a nice trip for people who are into that sort of thing?

The latter; it's like shrooms, only with occasional zero-point leakage.

The refrigeration part isn't necessary, it just makes it taste better. Or at least less horrible. I mean, they are eldritch horrors from beyond the outer planets.

The reference is to H. P. Lovecraft's "The Whisperer in Darkness", possibly by way of the same pulp comics that featured Wesley Dodds.

This might give you a better idea.

(It's a music video, not a Rickroll or any variant thereof, I promise. Also, if you give it more than one listen, pay special attention to the background voices, they're fun.)

...ok. Well, yeah, there is a song. And no, Rick Astley isn't on the other side of the link. But, well, the Cthulhu version of Rudolf the rednosed reindeer...I think 'no variant thereof' is taking liberties with the truth.

There was a link to a LOVELY song in the same channel, though. Chaim Topol clearly failed his SAN-test, performing "If I were a Deep One".

I kind of enjoyed the carol-y aspect of it, personally. (There's a whole album - two, actually - in a similar vein.) But yes, the Shoggoth on the Roof set (of which 'If I Were a Deep One' is one of the best) is better.

It could just be that I'm warped, though. YMMV.

Probably the best of the carols, though, is (It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like) Fishmen.

I have to say that I hold "Tentacles" in higher regard than "If I Were a Fishman Deep One".

(Edit to fix the title)

Tentacles is definitely a good one, too. All the original SotR ones are good, really, barring maybe one or two. Some of the carols are hit-or-miss though; I was just calling out Fishmen as the best of that lot.
