I started watching it on Hulu a week or two back as a direct result of their appearance in this setting, and IMO-- the show manages to hit an 11 on the "adorableness" scale, while still managing to keep the "saccharine" quotient near zero. Which is to say that the cast manages to be adorable etc. because they are written as legitimately adorable characters, as opposed to sketchy frames upon which are hung artificial quirks and catchphrases designed specifically to appeal to a target demographic's hindbrain. Not that they don't have quirks (I don't think I've noticed any catchphrases yet), natch, but it doesn't seem to rely as overwhelmingly on them the way a worse/lazier show would.
Anyway, even if it's not One's Thing, is still a pretty impressive feat.
