LAST EDITED ON Feb-01-16 AT 07:25 AM (EST) >>Heh. The old Street Samurai Catalog for first-edition >>Shadowrun included a weapon called the Mini-Gat, which was >>basically a .22 rimfire electrically-driven Gatling gun. It featured >>my favorite "user comment" of any in the book (and there are many >>great examples in that book): "Wonderful. Now I can flatten light >>ammo against body armor faster than ever before." > >It's possible that there is a Shadowrun weapon like that, but I >suspect the weapon you're thinking of is from Cyberpunk 2020 - >Militech Mini-Gat Machine Carbine, from Chromebook One.I might be picking the name up from there, but the quote is definitely about a Shadowrun weapon; the "light ammo" part is a specific reference to a game mechanic. I haven't had either book in years, though, so who knows. The SSC riff might have been from the entry for that thing that was based on the Calico, ISTR that also had a stupidly high rate of fire. Edit: Found some scans online. The comment is from the entry for the Ares Crusader machine pistol (pg 16). --G. -><- Benjamin D.
