I find this tidbit interesting because, while I quite like how Hi-Powers fire (as I think I mentioned), I've been meh on their looks... and the Beretta 92F -- or rather, the slightly-newer FS -- is my personal favorite, appearance-wise.
I also think they're a helluva lot of fun to shoot, but offhand I couldn't say I prefer it over the Hi-Power. This calls for some range time experimentation!
(Random Beretta fanboy trivia: I've never had a Beretta bite me, though I did get bit by a Colt M1911 once. Which was ow. Something about Beretta designs just fits my hands better than... well, most others.)
(More random trivia: I've been using an Airsoft pistol to teach my son firearms safety -- and admittedly, just for fun plinking in the backyard -- and the best one I've had so far is a 92FS replica. Had a Glock something-or-other replica at one point. Bleh.)
