Heh. The old Street Samurai Catalog for first-edition Shadowrun included a weapon called the Mini-Gat, which was basically a .22 rimfire electrically-driven Gatling gun. It featured my favorite "user comment" of any in the book (and there are many great examples in that book): "Wonderful. Now I can flatten light ammo against body armor faster than ever before."

Well, rimmed cartridges don't lend themselves to rapid-fire automatic feeding.
