"Kappa¹ Ceti" is neither a typo nor a citation missing its footnote; it's just that there are two stars in Cetus designated "Kappa" under the Bayer designation system. The other one, unsurprisingly Kappa² Ceti, is much larger but farther away, such that it has roughly the same apparent brightness viewed from Earth (which is what the letter designations in the Bayer system mean, if you didn't know; e.g., Alpha Centauri is the apparently-brightest star in Centaurus, and so on). --G. -><- Benjamin D.
