>Hurray & Thank you! This was a huge amount of work in such a short >time span.Well, all told, Symphony No. 1 is just a tad bit over 46 hours - so it's still a smaller project than the unabridged Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, which I'm listening to in the car at the moment and which is nearly 58 hours long! I bet they had a more aggressive timetable for that recording, though. I figured out relatively early on, after I decided I was going to stop doing the Symphony recordings at random and just record the whole series in (more or less) order, that the only way to approach it is to not think about how far it is to the end, or how long it's liable to take, or how you're going to go back in time and stab your past self for naming something "Worcester Preparatory Institute". :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Gryphon, you remain amazing. The sound's awesome, but there's a weird >bubbly noise in the background. Recording near a fish tank, perchance? No, I can't think of any environmental source for a sound like that. The pronounced background hum in some of my older recordings was the giant turbofan cooling system on my old web server, but that's no longer in service and it's nice and quiet in here now, except for the traffic noises outside. If it's continuous, it could be an A/D or compression artifact of some kind... not really sure. I can't hear it on my desktop speakers. --G. -><- Benjamin D. You know this is perfect timing for me as I will soon be flying from Hawaii to Virginia AND be stuck in a place with a lot of free time and not much to do. Thanks for going the extra mile with the audiobooks Gryph! ------------ ~If you want my input the red explosions are really pretty and if you did enough you might live for a few more excrutiating seconds My not so humble contribution to cyberspace http://cgwolfgang.deviantart.com/ |
