I had to build it in Illustrator because it doesn't exist in the font I was using, but "₢" is a genuine currency symbol with its own Unicode entity. It's for a unit of currency that is no longer in use, the Brazilian cruzeiro, which was replaced in 1994 by the real. In this context, of course, it stands for "credit" (in this case specifically the Earth Alliance convertible credit unit, though the same symbol is commonly used for the Bank of Salusia's Standard Galactic Credit). --G. -><- Benjamin D.
