>I was delighted to make Gaila's acquaintance again; *parse parse* OH, thats the name of movie-Uhura's roomie? I never put that together till now. Everything else Joe has said matches my personal opinions as well, about the only thing I can add is that as far as my personal disappointment with how Kirk solves the KM scenario in the new movie, it kind of also makes sense given his developed alternate history (Only genius repeat offender in the state) I'd expect that Kirk-Prime's solution wasn't quite so brute force. In fact there was a novel in which the whole premise was how the various members of the command team faced the KM challenge, in THAT one, Kirk's actual solution was not the brute force of suddenly removing their shields, but rather changing the Klingon parameters so that they would at least talk before shooting.
BUT, getting back to the matter at hand....
About the only thing I dont get at the moment is the 'link' between Football practice and the final plan. Was it getting everyone on the 'same page of the playbook' so to speak? or something more?
in the feckless gushies dept, though, I really liked seeing Porthos back (I was about to quip about his transporter trip, but that assumes facts NOT in evidence) and movie-Pike. And SimCom admiting "When I saw you wernt cheating I just had to do the same".
OOO, and 'THE HEIST'? Is this something we get to read about maybe sometime?
Of COURSE you wernt
expecting it!
