(Grumbling in having a partner with a condition whose only treatment is surgery that the NHS doesn't do because it's "cosmetic" and another condition where they won't do surgery ... because of the first condition*. Also having a sister whose been through at least 5 diagnoses in 30 years, the current one being something like "not chronic fatigue syndrome, but something weirder" and a mother who sees 6 different consultants most months, but none of them have any clue why she's twice just had her body shut down only to start working again while the hospital is trying to diagnose the problem)
