"Paris (in about 200 years)..."
|
I'm reading through a timeline of the WingCommander games, and I noticed that in the 2600' the Kilrathi managed to bomb Earth with anti-matter bombs. One of the casualty cities was Paris. In the latest intermezzo piece, Gryphon made a point of pointing out that Paris had never been hit/destroyed during various wars. I suppose my question is something like, does this have any signifigance in the UF universe? My guess is no since jump-points aren't a major FTL means of travel, so some node near Earth wouldn't be such a pivotal thing. However, since my last guess about the UF blew up in my face (and this timeline is quite interesting!), I thought I'd ask. Here is the timeline for any interested. Speaking as one whose only interaction with WC have been the movie and the cartoon, I find it quite fascinating! Static-Pulse - the most impulsive post alive DarkBeast.com |

(It's not an intermezzo, by the way; it's an entr'acte. The naming convention for non-movements is admittedly slightly cryptic, but also slightly important. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. >Um... no. I'm not entirely certain I understand the question, >actually, but no all the same. Mostly just curious how intertwined the future history of Earth and Kilrah were in the UF. Despite the vagueness of my phrasing, you answered it. Thank you. >(It's not an intermezzo, by the way; it's an entr'acte. I will remember that and say it properly henceforth. Again, good sir, my thanks. :) Static-Pulse - the most impulsive post alive DarkBeast.com

The Salusians have been fighting the Kilrathi for over a millenium longer than Earth has even known about either one.Salusia is at the center of Vega Sector, which lies between Kilrah and the sector Earth is in. Kilrathi raiders have not penetrated as deeply as Salusia since the advent of the Wedge Defense Force. Kilrah bombing Paris... nope. Just not in the cards.
