And as of about an hour ago... it still doesn't have a working bandsaw. Looks like the washer that goes behind the e-clip on the upper tire is 1/32" too thick, maybe even 1/64".

's a good condition 5 series with a fresh 520 conversion and a nice stout motor. Lovely plumage.

Heh. My dad had a Mark V Shopsmith when I was a kid. It... never worked.

My dad has one of those. It's at least 25-30 years old and still works well.

Does it... does it still work?

I have a couple of the business-card form-factor CDs from that approximate era myself, none of which still work.

Also, either your shop is bigger than I thought or you've done away with the towering pile o' 'puter that was in the last action shot I saw.

Damn, dude, I've got to remember to ship another batch of sugary goodness. I keep spacing. Whoops.

You know, I don't know. I'll throw it in the optical drive this weekend and see if it spins. The shopsmith on the other hand, works a treat. As soon as we find a 1/64" spacer to replace a 1/32" spacer, we'll have the bandsaw online, and we're planning on resurfacing the jointer this weekend.

And it's a different shop, and a _lot_ smaller. We moved, see - and the new place is small enough that the server rack (s) are going away. The network core is going to live on the wall under the stairs, and the garage computer is going to be wall mounted, possibly on an articulated arm.
