Supposedly not, but I thought Rally was born before Gaia, and her parentage contradicts there being no LH's pre-Gaia.

I rather like Sam Lysinger's Silent Mobius site, now at www.stelesys.com/~lysinger/esmintro.html for that sort of info. There are translations for the entire manga series there, and scripts for the movies too, so you can see how those end for yourself.

What sort of info are you looking for about the end of the anime? Without getting spoilerish, I can say that the anime borrowed quite a bit of the generalities from the manga (and a few stories outright), but differed in the details. The end result of the two is about the same, although they got there by two different routes. I think the anime ending is more open-ended - they could easily do a 2nd series if they wanted.

The Silent Mobius anime has, I think, some of the best music I've heard for a TV anime series. There's a wide range of musical style involved, and it's used very well.
