"Completed the current BC:TIA"

Well, as my adventures into re-reading EPU's body of work, I just completed TIA. And "What Goes Around... " will it ever come around? Is the only question I have.
:)

With the advent of the Iron Man movies, Iron Man Armored Adventures, Iron Man Rise of Technovore and a few other things, this arc is still pretty cool.

What I found interesting with TIA is HOW well it integrated into BCU. Which is a feat, but something I have come to expect from EPU.
But it also does a good job of swapping Ben Stark for Tony and in a way that gives it some gravity w/o being over the top.
It reminds me of Knight Rider 2010 and the PRISM of the female lead. Which is probably the best and only cool piece to pull from that movie (regardless if that is where Tony's ROM was inspired from).

As I need to keep say, thank you to all of EPU and Gryph!

Just for the record, it's not; the Tony Stark personality ROM was inspired by the Dixie Flatline in William Gibson's 1984 novel Neuromancer.

OH that is cool! thanks for the clarification and source material.

And I just realized that Ben's LiveShades are on their way to becoming reality thanks to Google Glasses.

I am actually looking forward to the cyber-processors. I love that GitS and GitS:SAC.

Thanks!

Don't forget Marvel Disk Wars! :)

Iron Age is by far my personal favorite of the various non-UF universes here, although if you were to ask me on a different day my answer might be .45 Caliber Angel. (Also you should read that one next!)

It has really great integration of the source materiel. The StarkWire blog was a stroke of narrative genius, and contains some amazing writing. There are little nods to Hopelessly Lost throughout, which pleases me as a continuity nerd (and some day, I need to write about the structural similarities and differences between the last published part of Hopelessly Lost and Iron Age; you can see the clear lines of descent there) but the writing is in general much stronger than it was in HL. There are a few bits of plot structure I'm skeptical about (Ben Stark being taken seriously as a grass-roots reporter while owning a multinational industrial conglomerate is one of'em) but it's a really nice piece of worldbuilding.

Also too: keep up the re-read posts, Phantom. You might want to consider trying to start a formal EPU Book Club kind of thing.

LOL, I will consider the Book club idea.
But I will definitely keep up as I work my way through EPU again :)
It is pretty neat re-reading these things and seeing how the world has changed compared to some of the references. Pretty amazing!

Working on Warrior Legacy now :)
