Given a certain cops penchant for odd wheel guns and the Nature of the creative staffs hobbies I thought this little video from forgotten weapons, might be appreciated by all as it'd give us something to talk about long enough to confirm we're all still alive before the holidays descend upon us.

Not sure how I managed to miss this post, but I did catch that video, and that's a cool gun. All of the Mateba designs were interesting, and possibly superior to a lot of their competitors, although arguably not superior enough to justify how much more they cost. Definitely cool, though, and the company had one of the best names (according to Wikipedia, "MaTeBa" is an acronym for the Italian phrase meaning "Thermo-Ballistic Machines", which, I mean, it doesn't get a lot cooler than that).

I've occasionally toyed with the idea of buying a Chiappa Rhino (the last design of the engineer who designed all the Matebas, the late Emilio Ghisoni, and still in production), but they're similarly quite pricey for what they are.

That video is kind of a roller coaster ride - I kept thinking "well that's a really weird choice" followed by "well, wait, that's actually -really- clever"
