"Question about the creative process"

ObNote: I'm not trying to violate the rules, just trying to set up my train of thought.

It's been over a week since the last SOS teaser, which have usually preceded the release by only 2-3 days. I realized that the probable reason for this is that previous teasers had been release when either there was stuff already sitting in the queue, or Gryphon was focusing on SOS. However, he's now working on SOS, Little Girls, WL and NXE, hence the delay...

So my question is, how do you juggle the different stories/universes that you're working on? Do you set aside time to work on each of them in shifts, or do you just sit and write whichever of them comes out? Also, how do you keep the different universes separate? After all, other than (apparently) intentional cross references, the various EPU universes really are distinctly separate (and feel rather different).

Keep up the great work, and I'll try to be patient until you release the various teased stories :)

I'd asked about that once... IIRC correctly, this is why Rule 1 is Rule 1. Gryph, as I understand it, works best when in tune with the various muses of the projects, so he sometimes has to wait for their intervention. THis also means that he's never quite certain when/who/how long he's going to be writing at any one go. Hence Rule 1. Don't ask because he honestly doesnt know.

I know that - my question (not that it indicated it - I should have been more precise) was more directed towards when multiple muses are competing as they appear to be now...

Hmmm. Good question, though I doubt Gryph will be able to explain it in mere words. My personall guess is its the muse who shouts loudest, longest; sort of the squeaky wheel phenomenom. Grease that one so that he can hear what the others are whispering to him better.
