Adam Banks, the Silver Specter, was born in 1918. He began his costumed career in 1936 and was a founding member of the original Paragon City Justice Guild a year later. A contemporary and comrade-in-arms of such greats as the mighty Atlas, the original Miss Liberty, and the Scarlet Sultan, the Silver Specter once ruled the rooftops of Paragon.

Though he lacks actual superpowers, the Silver Specter is an expert fighter, one of the greatest hand-to-hand combatants in history. Much of his skill atrophied over his decades of retirement, but it's all coming back to him as he works his way back into the groove.

The Specter's night-vision goggles were beyond the cutting edge of technology in the early days of his career, and are still impressive gadgets today. (Note the Justice Guild logo on his jacket.)

With his youth restored (except for the color of his hair) by Rikti technology, the Silver Specter stands ready to defend Paragon City against all comers. He has a special dislike for the 5th Column, having fought the original during World War II.

Recently, the Silver Specter earned the right to don the cloak that was a signature part of his original costume again. It's an honor of which he's very proud.
