LOVEBITES is a Japanese all-girl metal band No Not That One. They are kinda like Babymetal in some ways, but mostly they're very different bands. For one thing Babymetal play more conventional heavy metal, whereas LOVEBITES really leans into power metal (which has always been my jam). For another, Babymetal are good but the twin lead guitarists from LOVEBITES are IN. FUCKING. SANE.

The band are on a temporary hiatus as of September of last year after bassist Miho left to pursue other opportunities. It's a shame, but the parting was apparently amicable and the band are looking for a new bassist. The song below is the last track they cut before Miho left, and they gave it a proper music video as a send-off to her.

LOVEBITES are pretty cool, but I've been obsessed with BAND-MAID of late. Though I can't really classify them as metal, they definitely hit the hard rock vibes.
