"A Slightly Different Satan"

Since NXE has started up again, and with it a presumed resumption of the War, I thought I'd offer up a somewhat different take on Lucifer.

Clovenhoof is the story of a latter-day Lucifer forcibly retired from his role in Hell by a Heavenly reorganization. Lucy finds himself put out to pasture in Great Britain's excuse for Suburbia with 1) a flat in a tri-plex, 2) a modest living stipend and 3) a British passport with the unfortunate name of Jeremy Clovenhoof.

This book is by no means high prose. The authors are relatively new and it shows a bit in their writing. I did find the story highly amusing however. Enough so that I'd put it in the general orbit of 'Good Omens' by Terry Pratchett and Neal Gaiman or 'Bring Me the Head of Prince Charming' by Roger Zelazny and Robert Sheckley.

If you need a quick read and enjoy randomly guffawing out loud, 'Clovenhoof' is worth the few dollars it costs as an e-book.
