OK, I've finished reading the story. O........K. Now just what the hell are you going to come up with next? (I take it that one important scene we're going to see is how Vader is healed, because when we first meet him in RMTN he's still ravaged and when we see him in Blades he's a handsome devil of a guy). The scene with the cookies was brilliantly eye-moistening. One quibble, though. I don't understand why Len didn't tell Gryphon that Kei was alive when G came to Naboo right after the events of RMTN. Seems to me that news of that magnitude (particularly since Len knew what was going on, after Corwin filled him in on all the news) should have been passed on right away. _Yes_, I know there was a lot of stuff going on, but still and all. -Joe- Lover of fiddly and only faintly relevant background detail |

>As I believe it was Ardie put it, he's the Indiana Jones of the Jedi >Order. :) *swoons* I'd never thought of Obi Wan Kenobi as cool until ROS, and after that, well, damn. I'm with you and Ardaniel - he is beyond amazing and made that movie. George Lucas owes Ewan McGregor and Harrison Ford big. Very happy and still grinning (I had to re-read that scene again before I hit the sack around 2am), t. p.s. what will the Jedi Order do with a Indiana Jones? I mean, UF already has Indiana Jones and Jackie Chan! How many wisecracking, brilliant, sexy heroes can one universe have? p.p.s. Can you imagine a fight scene with him, Utena, and Vader? Insane. You could retire on the ticket sales. Akio: Give in, Rose Prince - your resistance is futile!Utena: <wipes blood from her mouth> Never. <Dives over the energy sword of yet another Covenant Elite> Obi-wan: <dueling back to back with Vader against the Order of the Black Rose> Anakyn, you can't really expect her to win this one her own. <Idly kicks one Ani Skywalker in the chops> Get up there and help her, I can hold the stairwell. Vader: <bisects Touga and uses the Force to push Saionji down the stairs> I find your lack of faith in the Chosen One...disturbing. <Makes a fist, and far above, a Federation starship suddenly crumples> Obi-wan: <shakes his head> Concentrate Padawan! Vader: <not sounding very repentant> Sorry, Master.
Sorry, got way too excited there...I'll do back to work now... Trigger Argee trigger_argee@hotmail.com Manon, Maccadon, Orado, etc. Denton, never leave home without it.

>>Obi-wan: <shakes his head> Concentrate Padawan! >> >>Vader: <not sounding very repentant> Sorry, Master. > >*Shatter* OK, time for a brief reminder, folks. Please don't make one-word posts like this that have no actual nutritional content. If you think it's funny, and you want to tell the person who posted it so, please, by all means send them a private message. But single posts consisting of the word "*shatter*" or "*dies*" or stuff like that don't actually really do anything but up your post count and annoy people who are looking for content. This has been a friendly reminder by your Administrative Staff. Carry on with your speculation and discussion. PS. I'm enjoying seeing where you think we're going next.

I want to know more about this Black Jack character. After all, Emmy's brother Or'lyn'do has long brown hair, a short beard, and is at least partly a pirate. Just what is the Hyerulian equivalent of a Sparrow? Best/Mario |

>I want to know more about this Black Jack character. If I recall correctly there was a TF profile for a Decepticon named Black Jack. I don't know if its the same person though :D >After all, Emmy's brother Or'lyn'do has long brown hair, a short >beard, and is at least partly a pirate. > >Just what is the Hyerulian equivalent of a Sparrow? y'know i'd just like to say that the first four letters of Or'lyn'do's name spell Orly :D _________________________________ We few. >After all, Emmy's brother Or'lyn'do has long brown hair, a short >beard, and is at least partly a pirate. > >Just what is the Hyerulian equivalent of a Sparrow? Well, the southern continent of Hyeruul, Ok't'ponn, is actually a highly-fragmented landmass, only considered a continent because it occupies a single tectonic plate. Its residents, darker-skinned than the occupants of the two northern continents (especially the downright pale folk from the desert continent of Dr'guun), are largely seafaring as a result, and more than a few have traditionally taken to buckling swashes as a way of life. So, you know. September 19th sounds rather different on Hyeruul than it does here. :) - Lord Ilmartello! Deptartment Chair, EPU Hyelian Studies |

"I have come to you because Ganondorf, the Dweller in Darkness, has broken free of his bindings and seeks the thirteen pieces of the Triforce..." (Doing that sort of thing is easy. Doing it well takes practice. But that's why we have EPU. They do all the work, and we just stand back and tell them how awesome they are.) That was ten different kinds of awesome. Don't worry, dude, the shark can't even see you from where you are. (In Soviet Russia, shark jumps you.) Sith cookies! Can he do darkside-food cake? (idly flips through old copy of Outlanders) Ah, Quevas. Ever the asshole. I love Emmy's family already. Speaking of the high seas of Hyeruul... how many seas is it said to have? Wouldn't be twenty seas by any chance? All those expletives seem awfully familiar... ^.^ --The Evil Midnight Lurker what Lurks at Midnight "Yoda that was not! Over this interview is!" |

God, Gryphon, you have a singular knack for rocking our collective worlds out here in internet land... Where the heck did he learn about Hylian desserts? I know he used to be a prince and all, but still... Love how Raven just pops up in there, nevermind the whole "Oh by the way, Dad, Mom's still alive" thing. Oh dear... Or'lyn'do? I saw it coming, but I thought, "Nah, couldn't be..." Just goes to show how wrong I was and how much you rock. Is his ship, by perchance, named Lady Luck? And is it just my imagination or are you indeed borrowing cultural references from The Priates of Dark Water? If so, then Hyrule's history of swashbuckling will only be rivaled by that of the Tskrang. Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy... And Poirot as wel!? Granted, I have little exposure to the latter, but oh holy hell! I wonder if we'll see anyone else from Hogwarts... I can't imagine you bringing in Harry himself as a Jedi Knight, though. (Although he might make a good Sith Knight under Vader ;) You brought Obi-wan back to life... You certainly like to resurect people, dont'cha? ;) And I just love what he says to Vader about light sabers right off the bat. 100% pure, authentic Obi-wan. Like someone else said Earlier, I'd love to see him meet Saionji and compare notes. Thank you so very much, Gryphon - I'm going to be geeking out over all this for a good month! Keep up the good work and the faith, man. Black Aeronaut Technologies Creative aerospace solutions for the discerning spacer "What? Under the dorsal guiding feathers!?" |

>Where the heck did he learn about Hylian desserts? Well, presumably from his Hyelian Jedi Master. >Oh dear... Or'lyn'do? I saw it coming, but I thought, "Nah, couldn't >be..." The funny part is, that's at least partly accidental. I named Emmy's brother the future pirate "Or'lyn'do" long before Pirates of the Caribbean was made. (And, for the record, Orlyn's former first mate Black Jack is not Captain Jack Sparrow. That part's a total coincidence. Pretty sure I wrote that dialogue before I saw The Curse of the Black Pearl.) >And is it just my >imagination or are you indeed borrowing cultural references from The >Priates of Dark Water? I didn't - I've never seen the show - but Marty Rose, who did most of Hyeruul's design work, did. The equatorial regions of the planet Hyeruul are much more nautically-oriented and swashbuckling than the capital region, where Emmy comes from. >You brought Obi-wan back to life... You certainly like to resurect >people, dont'cha? It does seem to be a recurring theme, for whatever reason. In Obi-Wan's case, I was morally obliged to do it after he was the only character who did anything like stay on-model in the entirety of Revenge of the Sith. Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan is a diamond in a heap of coal in that film. (Interestingly, The Fulcrum of Fate may be the only single story - it's certainly the only one I know of - to contain both the Guinness and McGregor Obi-Wans. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. You'll probably think I'm exaggerating and/or insane, but the triple whammy of Sith cookies, Defense Against The Dark Arts, and the Poirot cameo completely blew me away. Your rendering of Poirot is so *perfect*, with his "little ideas", his slightly skewed grammar, his appreciation for budding romance... ...and then he said "Que la Force soit avec vous" and I got an adrenaline rush of the kind that should only happen during rock concerts. This kind of sheer AWESOME should be a tightly controlled substance. As a Nethack player, I find your respect for Surtur amusing. |
