"Time has driven her down to dust: Leslie Fish"

One of the Big-Name Filkers, Leslie Fish has passed.

Noted for Hope Eyrie, Banned From Argo, and working with Mercedes Lackey to produce songs for the Valdemar books, among other things. Her views ranged from interesting to divisive, but she was never dull.

I can't say I'll miss the person she became - she is evidence for my opinion that aging is most recognized by fossilization of the synapses - but I'll miss who she was. She helped create an art form that I love dearly, and her creations in that area will be remembered for a long time to come.

WHat I will always remember her for is her adventures in cat breeding. Besides breeding more for health than some weird breed standard, I had no idea you could go so far in Cat intelligence.
