unintentional deletion of "Thanks, browser" thread. sorry. I don't know what the most recent post said, but to recap the rest: this site doesn't do SSL, and I should probably look into getting Dave to set up with a free cert authority sometime soon.

The last post was probably mine - I was pointing out that dcboard's silly link syntax doesn't let you link to https URLs, or specify https images, so there might be an issue there with mixed content, especially for images? But it looks like browsers automatically upgrade http img URLs to https if it's loaded from an https context, so hopefully it'll be okay.

Most modern webservers also have the ability to automatically redirect http:// to https:// to force users to upgrade to https regardless of the link they used. An extra step to be sure, but not a particularly problematic one as long as the server is configured properly in the first place...
